On behalf of everyone at USA Mobile Drug Testing of Northeast Ohio and Medina we want you to know that, first and foremost, we are thinking of you and your families’ well-being. Taking care of yourselves and each other is what is most important right now.
DOT & COVID-19 UPDATE
The Department of Transportation has issued the following guidance with regard to required drug and alcohol testing during the COVID-19 situation. They are committed to maintaining public safety while providing maximum flexibility. In a nutshell, they are saying:
- You must still comply with testing and training requirements
- If you cannot currently test due to business or State requirements, the testing must be caught up when business resumes
- If you are going to a clinic that has closed, they recommend using mobile drug testing
- You can not hire a DOT employee to perform safety-sensitive functions if they do not have a negative drug screen on file
Our MRO and labs are still fully functioning, and USA Mobile Drug Testing will be able to continue to serve you during this time, or as soon as work and school resume, on-site, 24/7, and at our Medina facility.
The DOT guidance document can be found here.
USA MOBILE DRUG TESTING UPDATE
Unless we are instructed otherwise, our office will remain open Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (if these hours should change, we will notify you). Also, our 24/7 on-call collector will continue to be available. To reach our dispatch line call 440/653-5003, option 1 any time, day or night, for any emergency drug and alcohol testing needs you have.
The health and safety of our employees and yours is of utmost importance. Therefore, in response to the current situation, we’ve implemented increased safety procedures to ensure that collection areas and testing devices remain sanitary between each and every collection. We will be using swabs instead of the breathalyzer for the first screening alcohol test. We also ask that your employees are following CDC guidelines for proper hygiene, as well as social distancing.
For our clients coming to our clinic location in Medina, please be prepared that you may be asked the following questions:
- Have you been outside the United States in the past 14 days?
- Are you experiencing any of the following symptoms – cough, fever, or difficulty breathing?
- Have you been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus within the past 14 days?
Appointments are not necessary, but we will allow only one customer into the clinic at a time in order to ensure safe distancing for all. We appreciate your patience with this, as you wait in your car or outside on a nice day. As this continues to be a fluid situation, we will also continue to review our policies and procedures and update you with any changes that may become necessary.
We wish for your continued health and safety.
