If anyone needs more evidence that drugs make people do dumb things, Jose L. Ramirez Jr. of Painesville, Ohio is a perfect example.
After getting caught in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Hoyt St. trying to eat marijuana, he then offered the arresting officer $3,000 not to arrest him.
If that wasn’t bad enough, this model citizen also had four minors in the vehicle with him.
We’re sure it seemed like a good idea at the time, but he certainly has some serious regrets today.
A 19-year-old Painesville man was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly trying to eat marijuana and bribe a Painesville police officer.
At about 2 a.m., Painesville police responded to a report of a group of males smoking marijuana in a car in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 650 Hoyt St., said Painesville Police Sgt. Michael Decaro.
When the officer approached the vehicle, a man identified by police as Jose L. Ramirez Jr. allegedly tried to eat the marijuana. He then offered the officer $3,000 not to arrest him, Decaro said.
Ramirez was arrested and charged with third-degree felonies of tampering with evidence and bribery, as well as a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession, Decaro said.
